Snake Pit

I had a potentially decent idea for this–a jumble of blue snakes, all intertwined. Execution didn’t hold up.

I thought I would have more than enough shades of blue but it turned out I had multiple duplicates of the exact same color because different pencil makers just slap new names for colors on the same lead. I wound up using green and purple which I don’t hate but wasn’t true to the concept.

Then I couldn’t keep the snakes’ bodies straight. There are little sliced up segments of snakes here as if some of them tried to crawl under a lawnmower.

I think this was a good learning experience but the end result wasn’t close to what I’d hoped for.
