Today I tried to get a shot of a pair of nesting Coopers hawks but they were too hidden by branches.

I missed getting shots of turkey vultures because they kept dipping below the tree line.

I decided I would get a picture of something so I resorted to pillbugs.

Pillbugs are crustaceans like crabs or shrimp. They have 14 legs and breathe through gills (low humidity kills them). They are not harmful to humans or destructive of maintained property, but sometimes infest damp buildings.
