H.P.Lovecraft’s “Old Bugs”

H.P.Lovecraft + Bugs? How could that not equal awesome?

If it was a pro-prohibition story devoid of any element of horror except for the evils of drink. I hate to say this but some writers can make do with racist, sexist, fascist, and/or just plain idiotic themes in a story, but anti-alcohol doesn’t work so well.

For a Lovecraft anti-booze parable without an ancient alien god of some sort, “Old Bugs” is probably as good as it could be.

I’m guessing Lovecraft wouldn’t be thrilled about what’s selling in Colorado. At least it would get his mind off who’s in the White House.
