Of all my pets, the millipedes are the most shy. I can go months feeding and watering them but not seeing any. Ever so often, I convince myself that they’re dead and search through their tank for their bodies.
They’re always fine. Today I thought one of them was dead because the other two crawled away and dug into the substrate after I found them, but the third remained coiled up and motionless. I checked him after a while and he had crawled away too.
I didn’t expect to find any babies but I noticed one tiny millipede about the size of a thread. I’m glad their tank is a healthy environment but I’m worried that I might have tossed out babies when I change their food. Just one more thing to worry about.
